OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

The First Company Governor's Foot Guard has been providing for the needs of Connecticut citizens since 1771.   Originally established to provide protection and ceremonial escort for the Governor and the General Assembly, it still fulfills these requirements of its charter today.

Following in the First Company's long tradition of community service, each year the Band performs concerts at locations around the state.  In addition to these concerts, the Band is active in its support of performing arts in the community and often participates in combined concerts and clinics with local public schools and colleges.   For more information on how to invite the Foot Guard Band to your school, please contact our Bandmaster or Band Manager on the "CONTACT US" page.
